We have a very active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association who organise a number of events throughout the year to raise money and get the community involved with the school.
Fund Raising Events:
Over the years the generosity of all those associated with Somerleyton Primary School has enabled the PTFA to donate many thousands of pounds to worthy projects. People have been very creative in coming up with new ideas to run alongside the tried and trusted events. We have a friendly relaxed approach to our meetings and welcome anyone to come along to see for themselves.
The pinnacle of the PTFA year is the organisation of the hugely popular and successful Somerleyton Summer Fete.
Be Apart of the PTFA
All families are part of our parent teacher association, being a member of the PTFA gives you the opportunity to support our school. We are always looking for new members with new and fresh ideas. Whatever you feel you have to offer it will be appreciated. You can be involved as little or as much as you wish. Volunteering to help at fund raising events or organising activities during our school fete is vital to help us fund additional activities or new equipment for our children.

Fundraising
Every year we have thousands of visitors who come to join in the fun and take part in our themed summer fete.
Proceeds from the PTFA have:
- Paid for school trips
- Bought new computer equipment and iPads
- Paid for playground equipment
- Created the EYFS outside learning area
- new musical equipment and instruments
